This guide explains how workspace owners and admins invite technicians, staff, and admins, then track those invites until the teammate joins the workspace.

Workflow overview

  1. Create the invite from /team/new.
  2. Review or manage pending invites from /team.
  3. Use /settings/company/people as the alternate launch point for invite creation and pending-invite management.
  4. Review the accepted member record from /team/[id].

Create a team invite

From /team/new:

  1. Enter first name and last name.
  2. Enter the teammate email address and confirm the same email address again.
  3. Choose one role:
    • Technician for field execution access.
    • Staff for office operations access.
    • Admin for workspace-administration access.
  4. Submit the form.

JobsiteOn sends the teammate an email invite with a secure invite link and invite code.

Manage pending invites

Pending invites appear on /team and /settings/company/people.

Available actions:

  • Resend issues a fresh invite email and refreshes the invite token.
  • Cancel stops the existing invite so you can create a corrected replacement.

What happens when the invitee accepts

  1. The teammate opens the invite email and lands on /invite/[token].
  2. They create an account or sign in with the invited email address.
  3. If verification is required, JobsiteOn finishes invite acceptance after email verification.
  4. The teammate becomes an active workspace member with the selected role.

Validation checklist

  • /team/new saves without an error banner.
  • The invite appears in the pending-invites section on /team.
  • The invite email contains the invite link and invite code.
  • Accepted teammates appear in the active team list with the correct role label.

Troubleshooting

I cannot invite people

Only workspace owners and admins can create, resend, or cancel invites.

The invite did not arrive

Check the email address, then use Resend from /team or /settings/company/people.

I invited the wrong email or role

Cancel the pending invite and create a new one with the correct values.
